Glycopeptides monitoring : practical aspects for the clinician
- blood drawing on dry tubes or on EDTA
- before infusion (? trough level)
- 2h after the end of the infusion (? “peak” level)
Take care to:
- avoid contamination from the infusion line
- note the drawing time, start/end of infusion, ...
- indicate the dose and the dose interval
- communicate the patient’s specifics (age, height, weight, creatinine, underlying pathologies, etc…)...
